This Week at WorldGolf.com: March 1, 2005 Were all those critics of Phil Mickelson's equipment switch right before the Ryder Cup premature? Mickelson took it on the chin, from the media and fans, for making such a dramatic change from Titleist to Callaway right before such an event of international importance. Of course, if the U.S. had won, it would have been a different story, right? Anyway, look at what Lefty's done lately. Shoots a 59 at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf and a 62 at Spyglass Hill during the AT&T Pro-Am, which he won. Won the FBR Open, too. It interests us to know that Mickelson switched equipment right before those two victories as well. According to blogger Kiel Christiansen, the mysterious methods of the pros are very, very different from the methods of you and I. And we should understand that before leveling such criticism. As always, your comments are welcome on any topic. Have a great week.

Everyone wanted to know why in God's name he would change equipment at such a time. As blogger Kiel Christianson points out, however, most of the guys on tour are constantly changing equipment. "They're not like us," he writes. "They're pros."
